Labradorite Pendant
Offered today is a lovely Sterling Silver, hand crafted oval Labradorite pendant.
According to an Eskimo legend, the Northern Lights were once imprisoned in the rocks along the coast of Labrador. It is said that a wandering Eskimo warrior found them and was able to free most of the lights with a mighty blow of his spear. Some of the lights were still trapped within the stone, and so we have today the beautiful mineral known as Labradorite. Labradorite has been found in meteorites and has also been called black Moonstone because of a shimmer or 'opalescence' when the light hits it. Labradorite shows an iridescent play of colors and is traditionally thought to bring good luck. The pendant is 7/8" in length and almost 5/8" at it's widest. The oval stone is a deep gray with flashes of beautiful orange/pink color. It is bezel set into a scalloped trimmed setting. It weighs a very nice 3.7 grams total weight.
The pendant is clearly marked 925 for Sterling and demonstrates a hand cut open back side to allow light to enhance it's reflective nature. Shipping is via First Class and Delivery Confirmation is FREE for this item within the United States.
